Job Description

We are seeking a NDIS and Community Living Programs Manager to work within our Disability Services Team. This is a full time position for up to 12 months.

The Manager will direct and oversee the allocation of clients, provide line management supervision, and oversee the financial budgets of the programs

The Manager will direct and oversee the allocation of clients, provide line management supervision, and oversee the financial budgets of the NDIS Support Coordination and Community Programs.

This role is SCHADS Level 7 – the salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

 Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Allied Health or Nursing;
  • Experience in NDIS and in working with people with a disability;
  • Experience in NDIS Support Coordination;
  • Experience in managing a multi-disciplinary team and in providing leadership and supervision;
  • Experienced in managing budgets;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clients;
  • Knowledge of WH&S principles;
  • Experienced in developing and implementing and managing systems;
  • Demonstrate a high level of written and spoken communication skills;
  • Experienced in engaging and consulting with a range of stakeholders including Families, service users and NDIS;
  • Current First Aid Certificate;
  • Current drivers’ licence;
  • Intermediate to Advanced IT skills in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word;
  • Participate in on call roster, approximately every 8 weeks.

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge, sensitivity and an understanding of Jewish values, heritage and culture;
  • Understanding of restricted practices and incident reporting.
