About the Opportunity

Casa Services is a strong, stable organisation with a 40-year history supporting people with disabilities in Alice Springs.  As the CEO is retiring, an opportunity exists for a seasoned not-for-profit executive to lead this high-potential organisation through a period of significant growth with vision and integrity.

Casa Services is guided by six clear objectives to deliver positive outcomes and add value for their participants while maintaining a financially strong and innovative organisation. Casa Services is committed to maintaining its reputation as the highest quality provider in Central Australia; and to excellence in delivering its services using a person-lead approach.

The organisation has a current turnover circa $16M, which is anticipated to increase by approximately 30% over the next 2 years. In response to needs in the Alice Springs community for disability services, growth has included an increase in staff numbers by 28% to 180 last year; and this is expected to continue to rise by a further 25% or more over the next 12 months.

The Board is committed to further growth, which will be led by the new CEO supported by a strong, stable management team.

Key responsibilities for the incoming executive include bringing the Board and staff together with a united strategy for growth, in a context of transparency, inclusiveness and strong governance.

Recent property purchases will bring a focus on rebuilding financial reserves while optimising usage of the new premises, including a significant and innovative project to create a shared community space in Alice Springs. This will involve re-developing the recently acquired new Head Office that includes a state-of-the-art ground floor to provide day-program facilities.

About You:

An experienced CEO or senior executive in the community sector, you will have an entrepreneurial mindset and a detailed knowledge of governance.  Your inclusive, values-based approach will inspire confidence and trust from staff, current and potential partners and the community in general.

You will have a sound working knowledge of the disability context, including NDIS, NDIA and the needs and social issues faced by individuals with disabilities and their families.

You will be able to demonstrate your strategic and change management capabilities through your achievements in optimising outcomes for participants while maintaining a strong, stable and financially sound organisation.

Ideally, you will have experience working with Indigenous Australians and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; and the capacity to quickly establish networks within the community.

The Benefits:

An appealing salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate that includes a competitive base salary, superannuation, relocation assistance, private use of a vehicle, five weeks annual leave and salary sacrifice opportunities.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
