The Organisation:               
Wayss is the largest provider of housing and family violence services in the South East Melbourne area.  It exists so people can live a life free from family violence and have access to safe, sustainable and affordable housing.

The organisation is currently undergoing a significant period of growth and to ensure the back office continues to support the great work that Wayss does, it now seeks a Corporate Services Manager with a strong finance focus.

The Role:
A newly created role, the Operations Manager, Corporate Services is responsible for overseeing the provision of high quality and effective finance and corporate services to Wayss Divisions and facilities across Victoria. This includes functions such as finance, outsourced information technology, payroll, procurement, office accommodation, fleet management and physical resources.

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, responsibilities include:

  • Leading a high performing and client-focused Finance & Administration team that supports the provision of high-quality corporate services, advice, financial and management information
  • Managing Wayss’ outsourced business partnerships, with a particular focus on the ICT partnership
  • Implementing and maintaining a financial management reporting system that promotes effective budget management and fiscal responsibility at all levels
  • Establishing a comprehensive procurement framework and contract management system that generates efficiencies through preferred supplier agreements and simplification in payment and administration systems
  • Preparation of Request for Tender documentation

The Person:         

To be successful in the role you will need to have:
  • A relevant tertiary level qualification (and ideally CPA)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Ability to lead a high performing, self-managed work team
  • A demonstrated track record in continuous improvement, system development and change leadership.
  • Ability to prepare tenders and grant funding applications (highly desirable)

The Offer:

This role is a full time, permanent position. A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, based on their skills and experience. The package will include very generous leave provisions (including 5 weeks annual leave and 17.5% annual leave loading) and access to attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging arrangements.
