The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer and one of an elite group of hospitals worldwide to have its own integrated cancer research program and laboratories. Fundraising plays a crucial role in advancing cancer research at Peter Mac with funds raised accelerating the search for cancer cures.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Philanthropy, and leading a small team, the Database Manager is responsible for all aspects of the fundraising database – Raiser’s Edge (RE) fundraising software, including but not limited to, information integrity, privacy and PCI-DSS compliance, financial interface and reconciliation, database maintenance, reporting, improving processes and servicing the training and RE reporting needs of Foundation.

You will help to achieve each fundraising program’s operational objectives and KPI’s through the delivery of data analytics (through data warehouse and RE), program reporting, data transfer, optimisation, integrity and compliance. This innovative fast-paced environment will see you building strong working relationships across the Foundation team, providing support and resources to optimise fundraising outcomes.

Attention to detail will be important to improve program performance through effective process development and procedural documentation to ensure fundraising best practice through good governance, compliance and service delivery. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to foster positive relationships with key stakeholders including donors, service providers and team members.

Proficient knowledge of Blackbaud Raisers Edge database/CRM software and relevant tertiary qualifications are required, along with the ability to train and coach staff in its use, application and business rules.
