The Fundraising department is part of the Marketing & Engagement division and were recently named ‘Fundraising Team of the Year’ at the FIA National Awards for Excellence in Fundraising.
Reporting to the Philanthropic Supporter Manager, the Philanthropy Services Coordinator will provide high level fundraising administration, content writing and research support to the Corporate Partnerships, Major Gifts, Trusts and Foundations, and Gifts in Wills functions as well as the wider Fundraising Department. You will be responsible for the skilled and thoughtful application of a range of administration and research systems and tools, for collating and writing internal and external fundraising content, and for supporting the management of relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders (including individual donors, corporates, granting bodies and community groups, plus the extensive Brotherhood of St. Laurence network).
Supporting relevant managers, you will assist with identification and extensive research of prospective donors, and compile important information including cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans, funding proposals, impact and acquittal reports and other supporter communications. You will have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and professionally respond to queries from supporters and the general public.
You will be a self-motivated team player and problem solver with initiative, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. A broad understanding of fundraising, philanthropy and moves management is essential, along with excellent proficiency in the Microsoft suite and CRM databases. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in major gifts, trusts and foundations or a philanthropy team is required. FIA Certificate or Diploma in Fundraising is highly regarded.
