About the organisation
Launch Housing is a secular Melbourne-based community organisation that provides homelessness services and lifechanging housing supports to disadvantages Victorians. With over 400 staff working across 13 locations, we want to end homelessness and are committed to creating lasting societal
change to help those most in need in our community. In a country as wealthy as ours no one should be homeless. The Transitional Housing program provides transitional housing to families, single adults and young people experiencing homelessness with a focus to help avoid future episodes of homelessness. Support is also provided during the tenancy period to address issues which led to housing instability.
About the role
- Leadership opportunity in a leading housing and homelessness organisation

- Max Term Contract (until July 2022), Full-time
Reporting to the Program Manager, Transitional Housing you will play a vital role in avoiding future episodes of homelessness by managing a team who provides transitional housing to families, single adults and young people.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing supervision, support and mentoring to a team of Tenancy and Property Workers
- Ensuring effective client outcomes and a consistent and best-practice approach to tenancy management
- Participating in exciting policy and program development within the service
- Monitoring and maintaining records of expenditure and required DHHS reporting
What will you bring to the role?
You will be a strong leader and have excellent communication skills. You will be open to learning new things, be willing to bring your ideas to the table and be a team player.
It’d be great if you had experience working in the specialist homelessness sector and an understanding of issues and legislations relating to people who are experiencing homelessness. Also, experience supporting and/or managing staff who work with people with complex needs would be desirable.
