  • Opportunity to lead the establishment of a unique collaborative consortium across the early psychosis sector in Australia

The Australian Early Psychosis Collaborative Consortium is seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to lead the establishment and implementation of the three core pillars of this exciting new project that will include a Clinical Quality Registry, a Clinical Trials and Translation Network, and a lived experience network across the national early psychosis sector.

The role and your impact

The AEPCC Executive Officer role is an exciting opportunity to:

  • Establish and lead all operational aspects of the Australian Early Psychosis Collaborative Consortium.
  • Play a crucial leadership role in building stakeholder engagement across the early psychosis clinical, research and lived experience sectors in Australia.
  • Contribute to the development of funding strategies and growth initiatives to support the conduct and sustainability of AEPCC.
  • Lead a small team of direct reporting staff and also work in partnership with a range of other Orygen teams and external organisations to deliver the vision of these enabling platforms.


About you

Essential to this role and to be considered:

  • A tertiary qualification in a scientific, analytic, or other health-related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training will be considered.
  • Significant management/leadership experience including management of direct reports and operational teams.
  • Experience in health, health research, health management and/or health advocacy including lived experience communities if possible.
  • Proven track record in bringing together diverse stakeholders and engaging in a common goal and delivery of strategic objectives.
  • Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be responsive to the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget development and management.
  • Sound understanding of data management within local, interstate and/or international settings.

A generous salary is available, to be negotiated depending on your skills and experience, plus superannuation and access to NFP salary packaging.
