About the role

  • Vital management role with the chance to drive real change!
  • Great opportunity to drive economic growth in the Southern Gulf Region
  • Competitive salary with attractive benefits

About the opportunity
If you’ve ever dreamt of a role that was as multi-dimensional as it is challenging, that combined both strategic and people- leadership, that left you every day with the warm satisfaction of driving positive social change and improving the lives of people in the community – then this is your opportunity. As the General Manager of GGNTAC, you’ll lead and oversee the provision of current services and indentify and develop existing and future commercial opportunities. In collaboration with the Board of Directors and Chairperson for Gangalidda and Garawa Native Title Aboriginal Corporation, you’ll be involved in both day-to-day and projected operations, planning, reporting and evaluating at every turn.

About you
You’re a natural-born leader, a mentor and an advocate. With an expansive career in management and the ability to consult with Traditional Owners and Government Agencies, your business acumen
is extensive. You’re also adept at solving problems, using the tools at your disposal to engineer solutions – sometimes on the fly – that deliver. You’re an incredible communicator, and know the right words to use to speak to anybody. You inspire trust. You guide. And most of all, you care.

In collaboration with the GGNTAC Chairperson and Board of Directors you will be responsible for:

  • Implementation, profitability, and stability of current opportunities;
  • Initiating the development of identified and existing planned commercial activities;
  • Identification and implementation of future opportunities;
  • Ensuring ongoing sustainable strategic and economic development; and
  • Increasing employment opportunities for local Indigenous people in the Southern Gulf.

What do you need?
Your understanding of Indigenous communities and the challenges they face economically will prove instrumental in this role; you’ll need that knowledge to drive strategic change and take advantage of
opportunities to improve. In the same vein, you’ll also need proven ability with business development aligned to financially sustainable economic outcomes.
In recognition of your hard work, that competitive salary will be yours, along with salary sacrifice options.
