The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) is seeking an independent and self-motivated individual, with a background in family violence. The position supports implementation of the Victorian family violence reforms within the alcohol and other drug (AOD) sector. Funding for this project role is derived from the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework Sector Grant (2021-23).
This role will develop and deliver tailored support initiatives for prescribed AOD services and support the implementation of MARAM, the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme, and the Child Information Sharing Scheme collectively.
The role will also facilitate linkages and relationship building between participating agencies and partners while looking for opportunities to strengthen intra-sector and cross sector relationships.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the work of the AOD sector in Victoria, the family violence reforms, and the intersection between the two. It requires an enthusiastic and positive outlook, skills in creating connections and relationships, and very high quality written and interpersonal communication skills.
The role will include analysing and problem-solving complexity around policy implementation, working with stakeholders to find solutions, and communicating these effectively.
This role requires interest in the structural conditions of disadvantaged populations and a strong interest in advocacy.
The duration of this 0.8-1.0 EFT position is through to 30 June, 2022. Continuation is subject to performance and renewed funding.
Salary will be in the range of $77,913 to $85,639, subject to the successful applicant’s skills and experience. Salary packaging is available.
