About the organisation
The South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI) will be the state’s world-class cancer research institute, jointly resourced by an alliance of the Federal Department of Health, the Central Adelaide Local Health Network and the University of Adelaide. With an explicitly translational remit, the purpose of the new Institute is to focus on cancer research and clinical trials that will bring new cutting-edge technologies in immunotherapies and genomics to Adelaide. SAiGENCI will allow for coordinated collaboration in the fight to control cancer and explore a cure, by attracting and retaining brilliant biomedical and clinical researchers and collaborating externally with likeminded centres of excellence across the globe.
About the role
Working with a considerable degree of autonomy, this newly created position is a unique opportunity to create and implement a new, disease focused philanthropic program specifically for SAiGENCI. Leveraging the benefits of the broader University Advancement program, you will create and manage a comprehensive range of fundraising programs to meet ambitious targets and build meaningful relationships with donors and other supporters of the Institute.
With extensive major gift fundraising experience and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, you will bring strategic thinking, knowledge of fundraising best practice and the gravitas to gain the trust of researchers and senior leadership alike.
