About the role

Anglicare is seeking Therapeutic Specialist for Western on a six-month maternity leave contract to provide clinical expertise in implementing trauma-informed care services for children and young people who have experienced abuse-related harms in our Permanency Support Program (OOHC). Key responsibilities of the position include providing clinical assessments of children and young people, developing therapeutic plans, and supporting and developing staff to meet the therapeutic needs of children and young people.

The successful applicant requires a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or related discipline. (N.B.: Candidates that also hold a relevant Postgraduate Qualification will be highly regarded.) Minimum five years’ experience in a therapeutic care setting or working in a clinical environment with Children and Young People in OOHC is required. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island people is essential.

This three day per week position is based in Orange.

Attractive salary package up to $95,000 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), negotiable and dependent on experience and qualifications. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare’s PBI status.

Applicants will be required to undertake the psychometric profiling instrument and must obtain a Working With Children clearance through the Office of the Children’s Guardian (NSW) and undergo a National Criminal History Check prior to an offer of employment. Applicants must also have a current driver’s licence.
