About the role
What does an Assessment Officer do at the Council?
This Assessment Officer role is focused on supporting overseas physiotherapists being assessed by the Council to join the Australian physiotherapy profession. Physiotherapy continues to be on the Commonwealth Government’s skilled migration list and therefore more physiotherapists are needed to support the health needs across our Australian community.

Who are we looking for?
We need an Assessment Officer who …

Has a qualification in a health, assessment, education or other relevant discipline.

Exhibits a growth mindset and brings that perspective to improve the assessment functions at the Council.

Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent time management capability, ensuring multiple deliverables and deadlines are achieved.

Exceptional communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

High level of integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.

High standard of computer literacy, proficiency with MS Office package (Word and Excel in particular).

Attention to detail and capacity to work with a high level of accuracy
