About the organisation

Organisation Name : Windsor Group

About the role

  • 4 Board Meetings + 4 committee meetings/year
  • Straight-forward role for experienced Secretary in well-run NFP
  • Honorarium + expenses

Well established and government backed, this non-profit is unique in its mission to reduce loneliness and isolation in the elderly population of Qld, NSW and Vic.

Brilliant and far-reaching in its concept, it achieves wonderful, positive results through teams of deeply committed paid and volunteer workers, who operate the services both face-to-face and remotely. A credit to its astute and caring CEO, this is an organisation with a lovely, warm culture – and one you’d be proud to work with.

With a newly re-vamped constitution and Board Charter ready to go, this is an attractive proposition for a Company Secretary/Board Member who is drawn to helping people through non-profit business.

We’re hoping to invite interest from a Secretary who has a strong governance background plus NFP knowledge/experience and an understanding of ACNC compliance requirements. Experience in the Aged Care sector would be ideal!

Important as it is, this position is really quite straightforward. You’ll be expected to manage the business of the Board and its Committees. You’ll support your Board and Chair to ensure everything runs to plan; provide informed advice on best practice in all aspects of corporate governance and compliance, maintain the registered office and its membership lists and be the key company contact for stakeholders.

And while there’s considerably more detail involved, there are certainly no surprises – nasty or otherwise. The job is what it is – a very senior role for a skilled, purposeful and experienced professional Secretary.

However, what is really crucial will be the way you approach it. Additional to all your financial and business acumen, you will need a lovely set of people skills.

You need to genuinely engage and get involved; always go the extra mile. Invite trust and confidence. Be convivial, warm and welcoming; readily available, empathetic; attuned to what’s happening around you (and maybe just a little bit humorous).

If you really ‘get’ what being a great Company Secretary is all about; take pride and pleasure in your work and are keen to commit to a non-profit organisation that’s bringing wonderful improvements to people’s lives, please contact us without delay.

If you are interested in these vacancies, please submit your cover letter and resume as soon as possible to apply@windsor-group.com.au quoting reference NMCOSE or phone Nicola Manson on 07 3211 0001.

Windsor Group is committed to equal employment opportunities and providing a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace where individuals and diversity are encouraged.
