Echuca Regional Health (ERH) is an integrated acute, sub-acute, residential aged care, community and primary care outer-regional health service.  ERH comprises 113 beds providing a comprehensive range of services including emergency, medical, sub-acute surgical, maternity, paediatric, urology, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, dental, chemotherapy and haemodialysis services.  ERH also encompasses an aged care service, Glanville Village, which has 60 residential beds.

About the role

The Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery (EDONM) provides nursing and midwifery oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality healthcare services at ERH.  Responsibilities include the strategy, development and implementation of innovative clinical and quality programs that support collaboration with health service partners.  The EDONM is responsible for the provision of safe, reliable, person-centred care across Acute inpatient, Residential Aged Care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Cancer, Dialysis, Emergency and Perioperative Services. As the Chief Nurse & Midwife, the EDONM is also responsible for the professional leadership of all ERH Nurses and Midwives, providing support to maintain the highest standard of professional, contemporary nursing services, including planning for ERH’s future workforce and ERH successful maintenance of all Accreditation requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Postgraduate qualification in health, business or management.  You will have extensive experience in a senior management position in healthcare with demonstrated success in nursing and midwifery leadership; as well as proven ability to align teams with the organisational values and goals through effective people management and modelling.
