The simple and practical service provided by State Schools' Relief ensures that students attending Victorian government state schools can attend school in warmth and comfort with a greater sense of belonging and increased self-esteem, which in turn enhances their educational prospects and opportunities for engaging with their school community.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced administration professional to join our Glasses for Kids program.

In this role, you will provide alongside the GFK Program Manager to deliver and facilitate the program. The core functions of the role include high-level administrative support, effective communication and liaising with school students, staff, and other program stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role, and it is important to note that a significant portion of this role will see you spending time onsite at schools throughout Victoria, with a considerable amount of regional travel required (including overnight trips).

Our ideal candidate you will have proven prior experience in the provision of high-level administrative support. Practical and reliable, your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring your success in this role.  You will possess well-developed communication, organisational and stakeholder relations skills with proficiency across Microsoft Office suite and you will also need to be comfortable working in a continually evolving and improvement focused environment.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • experience in the provision of high-level administrative support
  • well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce accurate work, with attention to detail.
  • proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, with all aspects of record keeping, database management and with preparation of routine correspondence.
  • the ability, and flexibility, to travel often – sometimes for days at a time.
