About the role

  • Grow the donor development program
  • Coordinate multi-channel campaigns
  • Dynamic and impactful organisation

Ovarian Cancer Australia is an independent national not-for-profit organisation, supporting women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Their focus is to provide care and support for those affected by ovarian cancer; and represent them by leading change. They have a vision to save lives and ensure no woman with ovarian cancer walks alone.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, Communication and Fundraising, the Appeals and Direct Mail Coordinator will drive the growth of Ovarian Cancer Australia’s donor development program, including cash appeals. You will be responsible for organising and coordinating Ovarian Cancer Australia’s appeals program, which includes acquisition and ongoing retention of individual donors through the delivery of targeted cash appeals to prospective and existing donors as well as increasing revenue from active and lapsed supporters. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the diversification of Ovarian Cancer Australia’s income. You will coordinate and implement the cash appeals portfolio, encompassing multi-channel campaigns targeted at maximising response, income, loyalty and lifetime value of new and existing supporters.

You will be responsible for data management (including segmentation and targeting across all fundraising activities), and the monitoring, evaluation, analysis and reporting of appeals and campaigns. The Appeals and Direct Mail Coordinator will also contribute to the strategy and execution of other campaigns such as Teal Ribbon Giving Day and Workout for Women. This diverse role will also explore new ways to encourage supporters to donate and further engage with OCA, establish and review donor journeys, and provide support to community fundraisers.

Strong project management and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to establish and build influential relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. You will be a self-motivated, organised, and collaborative team player with high levels of creativity and attention to detail and the ability to manage workflows, plus juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated experience in CRM, data segmentation, and creating and executing direct mail appeals is essential, along with strong donor-centric copy writing skills and the ability to analyse data to drive campaign success. Qualifications in fundraising, marketing or communications are desirable.

APPLY NOW if you are a driven fundraiser with strong people skills and proven success in engaging donors & driving income growth and a passion for supporting people impacted by Ovarian Cancer.
