About the organisation
No Limits Community Services is an established community organisation providing various disability support services including respite (STA), supported independent living (SIL), community participation, support coordination and positive behavioural therapy. The SIL service comprises furnished facilities, a dedicated 24/7 care team, on-call assistance and a tailored support service. There are five SIL facilities throughout metropolitan Melbourne and city and remote areas of Darwin, with a total of 38 participants across all services.
About the role
No Limits Community Services is pleased to invite applications for part time board positions (7 hours per month) with terms of office commencing immediately (ABN required).
The board and the individual director of an NDIS registered organisation have formal duties and responsibilities to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the State Department of Health (currently VIC and NT) and the public (stakeholders).
The Board of Directors oversees the performance of No Limits Community Services and ensures that it is meeting the policy and performance objectives of the NDIA and related state authorities. The board is held ultimately responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s activities.
Board Directors are appointed for a one to three year term.
The No Limits Community Services board meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm (TBC). Board Directors are also involved in various board sub-committees which include:
- Governance (covering human resources) committee
- Corporate Governance (incorporating Finance, Audit, Risk and Compliance functions) committee
- Clinical Governance (Quality and Safety function) committee
- Consumer Advisory committee
