About the role

Coast and Country Primary Care (CCPC) seeks an experienced senior executive to join its board of directors and participate in the governance of the company.

The Organisation

CCPC provides a range of mental health, after hours general practice, health services for homeless people, community health, covid testing & vaccination and NDIS services to the Central Coast. It has also commenced provision of NDIS services on the NSW mid north coast.

CCPC’s driving aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities which is underpinned by a commercial approach to organisational sustainability.  The company is a registered charity with over 300 staff and contracted service providers.

The current director skill mix of the board includes health, disability, high level-government, business, aged care, information technology, marketing and financial management experience. The executive management team has a mix of new and long-term executives.

Skills Required

The right person for this role will be a CEO, or a senior executive running a large division in an organisation, with broad senior executive and/or governance experience in the health, mental health, community services, disability or primary care sectors. It preferable that candidates live or work on the Central Coast and have a local professional network and familiarity with organisations in some of these sectors.

Candidates with additional skills and experience in more than one of the following areas will be well-regarded:

  • Understanding of the NDIS and disability services.
  • Health program management.
  • Mental health services, community health, wellbeing, or family services.
  • Business development and marketing.
  • Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations.
  • Commercial experience/responsibility in organisations that have multiple business divisions, multiple locations and a size of business similar to or greater than CCPC.
  • Clinical experience.
  • Financial management.
  • Commercial dealings with government, universities, or other institutions.

Directors receive an annual stipend.
