About the role

  • One of Australia’s leading and influential peak bodies
  • Broad audience, purpose led communication
  • Canberra-based (flexible locations considered)

Reporting to the Director, Communications and Public Affairs, the Communications Advisor will be responsible for the management of UnitingCare Australia’s digital assets across all brands and building an online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content online. Working with a high degree of autonomy, this role will engage with key organisational stakeholders to develop and implement content alignment across digital channels and campaigns that increase awareness of the important work of the UnitingCare network. You will be a key expert in creating content for a range of internal and external audiences and be responsible for managing and scheduling all social media channels and the associated analytics and reporting tools. You will also make a strong contribution to the development of strategies across brand, content and communications products.

To be considered for this hands-on role you will possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (digital marketing, communications or similar) and have experience in a similar role where you have been the ‘organisational expert’ for anything digital. You will have broad communications and/or marketing skills, with a key area of expertise in digital content creation and marketing techniques. You will enjoy engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, be a skilled communicator, and have a well-developed ability to work with ambiguity, problem-solve, and quickly analyse, distil and translate complex information into meaningful and impactful content. You will have a preparedness to work within the polity and ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia.
