About the organisation
Are you an outstanding leader in philanthropic fundraising looking to make an impact in one of Australia’s most iconic and loved animal hospitals?
As the largest and busiest not for profit animal hospital in Australia, Lort Smith aims to provide world-class animal healthcare and wellbeing services through high-quality vet care and state-of-the-art facilities. The hospital champions the human-animal bond and has a unique legacy of compassion for pets and people in its community.
About the role
With a new CEO commencing in November 2021 and ambitious plans to implement a $15m capital campaign and the establishment of a $150m Future Fund, philanthropic giving has never been more fundamental to the Hospital’s success well into the future. They now seek a new Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising who will develop strategies to transform traditional, transactional fundraising activities into a donor-centric philanthropic and fundraising program that is scalable for the future. Shaping the hospital’s brand and identity as a philanthropic cause and increasing meaningful engagement with its broader community will also be fundamental.
You have the ability to drive an ambitious philanthropic agenda at both a strategic and operational level, matched by a demonstrable track record in major gift fundraising. You will have managed or worked closely with Marketing Communications teams to promote your organisation, leveraging integrated marketing and communications strategies to embed a more robust, donor-centric approach both internally and externally.
