Thorne Harbour Health is a community-controlled LGBTIQ+ organisation, governed by our members, and working for our sex, sexuality and gender diverse communities.

For more than 35 years as the Victorian AIDS Council (VAC), the organisation led the Victorian community’s response to HIV and AIDS.  Now, our work has moved beyond Victoria and Thorne Harbour Health is responding to a broad range of health issues.  Thorne Harbour Health aims to improve the health, social and emotional well-being of LGBTIQ+ communities and those living with or affected by HIV, with a particular emphasis on bringing the HIV and AIDS epidemic to an end.

About the role

Thorne Harbour Health, Victoria’s largest LGBTIQ+ health service, is now recruiting for a highly skilled and appropriately qualified manager to lead our work across our three therapeutic services and our capacity building work.

With responsibility for family violence, counselling, alcohol and other drug services, plus a range of capacity building projects this position offers a unique and dynamic opportunity for the right candidate.

As a senior Services manager within Thorne Harbour Health, this leadership role has both clinical and operational oversight of all therapeutic services and capacity building programs, including service design and development, and program delivery activities. The role holds responsibility for service quality and outcomes and provides leadership and day to day support to program team leaders and staff.

To excel in this role, you will possess relevant clinical qualifications and senior level skills and experience. Your clinical expertise will be coupled with demonstrable competency in intelligent leadership to bring out the best in those you lead.

This is a backfill role until June 30, 2023
