About the role

Do you have experience working in, or owning a business within the tourism, hotel or accommodation sectors combined with the skills and experience to provide mental health and wellbeing support?

If you’re a Mental Health Clinician, qualified as either a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or a related field, have the drive to support individuals within the hotel and tourism industries, enjoy variety in your day while working closely with other service delivery professionals, then we would love to hear from you!

As part of our recent partnership with ‘Australian Hotels Association (AHA),’ EACH is currently seeking a Clinician to support the mental health and wellbeing of businesses from these industries and join an exciting program making a difference in this unique COVID space.

The position will be offered in a Full-time capacity until June 2022!

The Partnership

The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) represents more than 5,000 hotel members across Australia serviced by a network of branches based in every state and territory. AHA members include hotel groups, family-owned businesses and SME’s providing Australians and tourists with a safe place of solace and a sense of excitement where people from all cultures and communities can eat, drink, meet, play, and sleep. AHA reflects the national pulse of the hotel and hospitality industry and addresses the central issues of shared concern and provides support, guidance, and leadership in political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legislative trends.

What you’ll be doing

As a Mental Health Clinician/Consultant, you will work directly with the local peak body (Australian Hotels Association) to identify the unique needs of their organisation and members and provide direct support and referral pathways to appropriate services as required.

Ideally, you will have lived experience in the hotel sector which will assist you to initiate primary consultations with small business owners who are experiencing a decline in their mental health and wellbeing due to covid-19.

Working remotely with the local peak body, you will conduct regular meetings via face to face and a virtual setting and through the development of webinars & workshops showcasing relevan t wellbeing topics, you will provide a combination of direct support to members through workshops to promote early intervention for wellbeing and make referrals to internal and external service providers based on the assessed needs while increasing the knowledge and capacity regarding mental health within the peak body team.

The Partners in Wellbeing Small Business Wellbeing is a collaborative, progressive, newly formed program and Team of experienced Mental Health clinicians focused on the mental health and wellbeing needs of small business owners due to covid-19.
