Eastern Volunteers is a community based not for profit which has been operating for over 45 years in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne providing an array of community services including:

About the role
This is a new time limited position until June 2023 for a social worker keen to make a contribution to the service delivery for older community members and those experiencing disability in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
You will work with a dedicated and flexible community transport team under a dynamic manager. Through transport we ensure people remain active in their communities as well as healthy and well at home for as long a possible. Key to this is good initial and ongoing assessment and we are seeking a social work professional to be able to extend our current practice in a changing aged care and disability landscape. You will co-ordinate the assessment team to ensure a high level of assessment practice is maintained and ensure our assessment practices remain sensitive to the complexity of our client base.
Our service also provides child and family transport as required.
You will need a minimum of 7 years experience in the profession. It is a 21 hour/week position worked over 3 days being Monday-Thursday, times to be negotiated. We are a family friendly and inclusive work environment.
