We influence systems to deliver better social outcomes for people by learning about what works in communities, helping organisations be more effective, sharing our perspectives and advocating for change

The Connection team operates within SVA’s Programs team and works closely with other SVA business units. The Connection provides support to develop projects and actions that respond to the issues of education disadvantage in Australia’s most challenged school communities
The Connection team environment is dynamic, evolving and fast moving. The team delivers approximately 20 events each year and works closely with schools and education systems across Australia. The digital educational collaboration platform enhances this work.

The position

We have an exciting part-time opportunity (3 days per week) on offer to join The Connection team on a maximum-term basis until Dec 2022, with possibility of extension depending on funding.
This role is responsible for the general maintenance of, and incremental improvements to, the Connection’s recently launched digital educational collaboration platform. The platform provides access to resources and acts as a promotion tool to networked relationships for school leaders and key education stakeholders in Australia.
With support from the product vendor and the Connection team, the Digital Product Coordinator (Education) will coordinate the development of the next phase for the platform including work planning, user experience, monitoring and tracking and implementing improvements to the design which will make the platform accessible to a broader group of users, as well as providing personalised support for user engagement. Working to support The Connection team, the role identifies opportunities for further enhancements to the platform to better engage users in online collaboration and capacity building.

Who you are

Do you have an Interest in the latest evidence-informed education practice? Is this combined with demonstrated knowledge and skill in producing engaging online content that dilutes complex concepts in an accurate and compelling manner, using a variety of collateral to cater for different learning styles? Do you also have experience in using and supporting the implementation of digital collaboration platforms, preferably in the education space and working confidently with external suppliers in the delivery of services to internal and external stakeholders? Are you eager to use your experience coordinating projects involving multiple team members and external stakeholders and your ability to work successfully, flexibly and under pressure in an agile multi-disciplinary team?
