As a Support Worker, you will use your enthusiasm and experience to support independence for people with disabilities in all aspects of life. This support will be provided in our client’s homes or the community working 1:1 with clients and may include – but is not limited to – personal care, domestic and daily living support, budgeting, shopping, cooking, and community participation.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will be required to address the following selection criteria:
- Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting people with disability and their families.
- Certificate III in Disability or equivalent, or willingness to work towards same within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience in working with and supporting individuals who have challenging behaviours and/or complex needs.
- Sound interpersonal, role modelling and customer service skills.
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environments.
- Current NSW Drivers’ License
