This role is responsible for delivering Uniting’s  NDIS funded Pathways 2 Employment – School Leaver Employment Supports, through a range of training, work placement and life skill opportunities that will support participants to achieve their individual employment goals.

About you

You’re a motivated Employment Coach who has a genuine interest in and commitment to supporting young people with disability with their transition from school to employment.

You will have previous experience:

• Developing action plans
• Training, coaching and mentoring
• Delivering travel training on public transport and driver education to help participants get their learners permit
• Supporting participants with work placements and industry visits
• Skill development and confidence building
• Dealing with complex situations
• High degree of customer service working with participants and their families/carers
• Strong administrative skills
• Working in a target driven environment

Qualities that will help you succeed in the role are flexibility, resourcefulness,resilience and creativity; with a preference for working within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Current valid driving license
• Intermediate computer skills

Desirable:

• Cert IV Training & Assessment &/or Career Development/ Disability / Community Services / Employment Services / Youth Work
