About the role

                                                                     Full Time, 12 months in 2022

Thinking about what’s next after your studies? What if your new job was helping children and families affected by family violence and sexual assault? Paid Graduate year on offer with Salary Packaging of $15,900 per annum available! Gain practical skills and knowledge as well as receive extra training and development support. Numerous positions are available across Epping, Thomastown or Heidelberg locations (Wurundjeri Country).

 

About the graduate year

The role is part of the 2022 Family Violence and Sexual Assault Graduate Program.

We have a number of graduate opportunities available within Kids First, working across our specialised programs including: Sexual Abuse and Counselling Prevention Program (SACPP), Northern Healing Recovery Program (NHARP), Caring Dad’s and The Orange Door.

With the guidance and support from our highly qualified staff, you will receive additional training from external and internal providers, while consolidating your expertise gained through your social work studies.
Our programs will enable you to gain practical skills and knowledge, allowing you to make a significant difference within the sector. This includes an induction session at the commencement of the Program and monthly community of practice sessions. Graduates also have access to a funding allocation to support their ongoing learning and development over a 12-month period.

 

What we are looking for?

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work completed within the last 2 years.
  • Exposure to working with families and children presenting with complex needs and risk issues in any of the following areas:
  • Family Services, Child Protection, Intake and Assessment and/or other services working with vulnerable families and children.
  • A passion to make a difference!
