Job summary:
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team this role leads Uniting’s advocacy, communications, brand, fundraising and marketing.
About the opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the General Manager Community and External Relations will be responsible and accountable for overseeing the successful direction, planning, and execution of all aspects of Uniting’s advocacy, communications, brand, fundraising and marketing.
Working alongside others, the General Manager will have strategic leadership of a small division that has a broad impact. Overseeing the development and implementation of a progressive business plan to secure an ambitious and sustainable future, the General Manager will drive strategic change while delivering divisional and organisational priorities.
About you
You are an accomplished and highly skilled leadership professional with demonstrated history of leading change and delivering successful outcomes in a highly complex customer-orientated environment through strong transformational leadership, analytical and strategic thinking.
You are creative and driven to succeed through your ability to contribute to broader organisation development working in collaboration with other senior leaders.
You are well equipped to build relationships with key stakeholders, partners and relevant authorities and peak bodies. With proven capability to assess emerging trends and leverage opportunities, you possess strong operational and strategic leadership capabilities and influencing skills.
