About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Management Accountant to join UnitingWorld.

As the Management Accountant, you will be required to oversee all financial activities for UnitingWorld. You are responsible for planning, management and accurate reporting of finances that enables and provides guidance to support UnitingWorld in achieving its mission, whilst complying with statutory and audit obligations.

You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and produce analysis of financial data about the performance of the agency to support business decision by the Boards and Executive team. You will be required to prepare financial statements for audits, assess budgets, and support the grants submission process to ensure UnitingWorld receives funding to achieve its strategic objectives supporting communities in Asia, Africa and the Pacific.

You will be required to implement and adhere to the agency’s policies, ensuring rigorous financial management, with compliance with the DFAT and ACFID code of conduct, and following BAS, ATO and ACNC requirements.

We’re seeking a highly capable Finance professional, with tertiary qualifications and a professional Chartered membership (CPA/CA), who has sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standard. The successful candidate will be someone who can work independently, as well as collaborate in a team and problem solve. A demonstrable understanding of all relevant legislative, regulatory, funding and compliance models is essential, and a strong background within the not-for-profit sector is preferred.

Located in Sydney CBD, this is a full-time position.
