Our Watch’s vision is clear… An Australia where women and their children live free from all forms of violence.

Our Watch is a national leader of primary prevention of violence against women and their children. Their mandate is to stop violence before it happens, and purpose is to provide national leadership to prevent all forms of violence against women and their children, and their important work is always based on sound research and strong and diverse partnerships.

This leadership role will implement a new organisational fundraising strategy, creating positive relationships to establish new income streams to support Our Watch’s vital work to prevent violence against women and their children. You will proactively build relationships and establish new income streams focussing on major gifts, trusts & foundations, corporate partners and digital campaigns.

The role’s primary focus is relationship management and income generation from a portfolio ranging from established supporters to new business opportunities. You will initiate prospect research, develop stewardship and cultivation frameworks, and maintain professional relationships to secure support towards Our Watch’s funding priorities and donor-led initiatives. You will enhance internal operations including implementation of a CRM database, build internal capability, develop best practice systems, manage budgets and reporting requirements, and ensure adherence to legal, compliance and governance obligations.

You will be a motivated and outcomes-focussed leader with proven success in building sustainable partnerships and fundraising programs, together with stakeholder management, influencing skills, commercial acumen, problem-solving ability and project management.  Sound communication skills are essential to write and present sophisticated funding applications and convey complex ideas, outcomes, evidence, learnings and impact. Relevant tertiary qualifications, CFRE and membership of Fundraising Institute of Australia are highly regarded.
