About the role
Who we’re looking for
If you’re a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, experienced with children and qualified with AHPRA, enjoy variety in your day, and working closely with other service delivery professionals, you might be exactly the person we’re looking for!
As part of our Paediatric team at Ringwood, EACH is looking for an Occupational Therapist to provide support for children with complex needs, making a huge difference to the lives of young people and their families.
If you enjoy working with children within the context of their families and are able to deliver best practice occupational therapy interventions that will support a child’s development and allow them to thrive, we have the perfect part-time opportunity for you.
Working 3 days a week, based at our Ringwood East site you will use your skills in all areas of OT, including fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, play and social skills and self-care skills to provide individual and group planned care. The ability to train and build capacity in other professionals would also be well-regarded.
What you’ll be doing
Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will be able to work with children whose families have complex care needs. You will have excellent time management skills, a fine eye for detail and be confident working within a brief intervention model.
You will be able to engage children and their families from CALD background. You will be trauma informed, culturally aware and able to deliver child safe practise and co-ordinated care. Providing individual and group-based interventions and seeing up to 5 clients per day you will be confident providing outreach services as required.
Who you’ll be working with
A typical day would include collaboration within a friendly team with supportive management and positive culture. Working with other professionals at Ringwood within a variety of disciplines, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists, our team is dedicated to giving clients the best possible support.
What we offer
EACH offers all staff benefits by offering Not for Profit Salary Packaging, a flexible workplace strategy and support through a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program.
