Portland House Foundation is a private family foundation established in 2004.
PHF grants to organizations assisting people to move out of disadvantage, and a small number of environmental organizations.
The position reports to the Portland House Foundation Chair, and is responsible for all aspects of granting, including:
- Researching grantees suggested by the Board,
- Seeking new funding relationships,
- Management and acquittal of existing grants and,
- Reporting to the board.
Grants are by invitation, so the successful applicant will have extensive networks in the not-for-profit sector and substantial capacity in building and maintaining relationships across a wide variety of grantees.
The position is based within the Portland House family office and works directly with one staff member in the Foundation. It is expected work will take place from mainly within the CBD office and has regular interaction with a number of the Board and family members.
