The Quit unit of the Cancer Prevention Division has been provided with funding to create a National Quit™ Resource and Training Centre for Nicotine Cessation (“Quit Centre”) to support the implementation of new smoking cessation clinical guidelines in the health system.

About the role

  • Be a part of Australia’s most trusted cancer ‘Not for Profit’ organisation  
  • Full time, 18-month position – St Kilda Road, Melbourne 

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Quit Centre Coordinator to join the Quit Centre. Reporting to the Health System Reform Manager position, your role is to:

  • Provide highly effective project management and administrative support to ensure key deliverables are met
  • Prepare draft activity reports
  • Develop and maintain processes to support business activities, including document management and contract management
  • Act as a central liaison point for external and internal stakeholders

All about you

We are looking for a collaborative team player with excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail:

  • A qualification in project management and/or proven experience managing projects and administrative operations
  • Strong ability to listen actively, influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
