About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a School Focused Youth Services Coordinator to join our Education Support Programs team based in Shepparton. The objective of the School Focused Youth Service (SFYS) is to ensure that at risk young people (aged 10 to 18 years) are well supported in their communities, that risk factors are addressed or mitigated and that they continue to be engaged and connected to education.
The School Focused Youth Service Coordinator will:
- Work in partnership with other services and supports to provide a continuum of support
- Respond to some of the most at risk young people who are enrolled, but at risk of disengaging from school
- Create and support effective governance and reporting to enable programs to build on and share best practice when working with schools
About you
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in a Social Work or Education related field. The position is ideal for a professional with demonstrated skills and experience providing coordinated delivery of educational or support services to at-risk young people. You will have strong consultative leadership skills with proven ability to lead, develop and manage projects or initiatives. Demonstrated working knowledge of the current Victorian Education system would be beneficial.
