The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation is a statutory authority which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Victorians by working with our communities and government to deliver effective, evidence-based initiatives and innovative approaches to prevent gambling harm and provide support for those seeking help. Gambling harm affects individuals, families, communities and populations. Accordingly, we take a public health approach to harm, which comprises evidence-based awareness, prevention, early intervention, education, and treatment and support programs. Our strategic priorities are to:

  • Foster community understanding of gambling harm to lay the groundwork for the attitudinal changes required to prevent and reduce gambling harm
  • Inform and deliver prevention and intervention activities to reduce the harm in populations, communities and settings most affected by access and exposure to gambling products
  • Strengthen the funded services system to provide accessible, integrated, relevant and visible options for the delivery of effective treatment and support to those seeking help for gambling harm.

About the role

Sitting within the Research and Evaluation branch of the Foundation, the Senior Evaluation Officer plays a key role in leading the evaluation of the Foundation’s key programs and projects.

This exciting role will provide specialist evaluation advice on the Foundation’s programs, services and initiatives, and will play a key role in building evaluation capability across the Foundation. Some of the projects you will be working in will be in the prevention of gambling harm.  You will partner with and have regular dealings with external stakeholders from leading universities and experts in the research and evaluation field. The position is fixed term for three years.
