About the role

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking a Specialist Lead for our Counselling program. This role involves providing high-quality counselling for individuals, couples and families, facilitating group work, as well as the provision of staff supervision and specialist support to Counsellors.

This role contributes to the strategic direction of this team and is a Permanent Full-time position, however may consider Part-time arrangement of 4 days per week. 

Duties

· Inspire and lead a team of Counsellors, encouraging a collaborative, safe and continuous improvement culture

. Provision of Counselling services to a small caseload of clients on the Central Coast

· Encouraging innovative and quality service delivery across the program, ensuring high quality practices are maintained

· Exceeding program requirements, ensuring exceptional service delivery

· Support the Practice Manager in seeking additional growth opportunities for the program

Requirements

· Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Welfare, Psychology, or professionally related disciplines.

· Relevant registrations with peak bodies (e.g., AHPRA, ACA or PACFA)

· Experience providing counselling services, with an understanding of therapeutic frameworks.

· Ability to support a team through a change journey

· Post graduate studies in areas relevant to counselling or relevant disciplines such as art therapy, child trauma therapy, play therapy, FDR mediation, client counselling, music therapy and domestic violence training will be well regarded.

· NSW Driver’s Licence and access to insured vehicle

· A Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check.
