About the role

We are on the lookout for an AHPRA qualified Speech Therapist to join our School-Aged Therapy Team in Hawker, ACT.

This full-time or part-time opportunity is suitable for new graduates or experienced clinicians with a starting salary of $77,000 for graduates up to $97,000 based on experience and qualifications.

 

About you

You thrive in environments that allow you to form positive relationships with children and young people with developmental differences. Leaning on your knowledge of typical and atypical childhood development, you engage wi th your clients, their family, and other supports to collaboratively work towards the client’s identified goals.

 

The role

Our therapy services are based on a family-centred philosophy. Our client base comprises children and young people, living with a variety of childhood disabilities – predominantly autism, intellectual disability, and delay.

In this role, you will:

  • Build relationships with the community as you deliver services at clients’ homes and schools to work within the child’s natural settings,
  • Provide face-to-face therapy services using the social model of health approach to identify goals and provide support and strategies for children and young people aged 7 to 18, and their families,
  • Coach families, carers, and other professionals to build their capacity, and
  • Document developmental information, goals, and outcomes.

Therapy services are provided at school, in homes, at our clinic in Hawker, and via Telehealth.

 

Who you’ll be working with

We are a small but collaborative team! When fully staffed, EACH in the ACT has six therapists, an office administrator, a manager, and a therapy dog who is a loved and popular team member. In everything we do, we are dedicated and committed to providing excellent service to our clients.
