About the role

The Sponsorship Manager is part of the Development and Fundraising Office team, which is the fundraising function of the Archdiocese.

This role will be report to the Director, Development and Fundraising Office and will have a dotted-reporting line to the Chair of the Archdiocese Sponsorship Committee. The role will also support the Committee with sponsorship activity.  The Sponsorship Manager will be the Chair of the Sub-Committee of the Sponsorship Committee.

The primary responsibilities of the Sponsorship Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

  • Identify, seek and develop new corporate sponsors to support the Archdiocese events
  • Produce proposals, packs and written communication for corporate sponsors
  • Manage the sponsorship contract process (in conjunction with Legal)
  • Manage the invoice and payment schedules process (in conjunction with Finance)
  • Manage the annual calendar of sponsorship requirements and forward plan activity required to deliver sponsor financial support
  • Manager CRM for corporate sponsorship data and documentation in ThankQ (sponsorship module), including producing required reporting
  • Manage sponsorship deliverables for every event, including liaising with internal (communications team) and external stakeholders to successfully achieve them
  • Manage and maintain the suite of sponsorship communication documentation, including all proposals, letters and reports
  • Any other duties as assigned

DFO oversees the fundraising and marketing for, The Charitable Works Fund; Priests’ Retirement Foundation; St Mary’s Cathedral; Holy Father’s and Holy Places Appeals; Bequest program and Cardinal Gilroy Society; Rome Pilgrimages and Sydney Catholic Business Network.

About You

The ideal candidate should satisfy the following selection criteria:

·       Demonstrated commitment to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church and its Tradition.

·       Tertiary qualification or five years of relevant experience in sponsorship management, fundraising or marketing

·       CRM experience

·       Advanced administration and creative skills in marketing and design

·       Ability to produce and interpret data relating to sponsorship programs

·       Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

·       Excellent stakeholder engagement with a service focus
