Guide Dogs is an iconic not-for-profit organisation and one of Australia’s most trusted charities. The organisation assists people who are blind or have low vision to gain freedom and independence, become active and involved members of the community, and fulfil their potential. Their professional services extend beyond the provision of Guide Dogs and include innovative Children’s Mobility Programs, Orientation and Mobility training for adults and people living with an acquired brain injury (ABI), and social networking programs to support active community participation. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Insights, and leading a small team, the Digital Fundraising Manager will lead the execution of digital strategy for the Fundraising Centre of Excellence and contribute to the development of the national digital strategy across as part of a cross state team. Leading a small team and working collaboratively, you will be responsible for optimising digital channels to support key fundraising programs including Regular Giving, Appeals, Philanthropy and Community Fundraising, in order to meet revenue and donor targets across both Guide Dogs Victoria and Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
As the internal champion and expert of all things digital, you will develop and implement digital strategies that help attract, engage and retain supporters. Working collaboratively with fundraising specialists you will deliver increased engagement, acquisition, retention and income growth from digital channels across all fundraising streams, plus drive digital literacy in support of a wider digital transformation. You will build capability, expertise and insights to optimise user experience through implementing creative, innovative and proven digital strategies, implementing digital donor journeys, testing key messaging and continual testing to maximise digital engagement and results, as well as compliance aspects including legal, privacy, regulatory and fundraising ethics.
An aptitude for testing, learning and adapting is crucial, along with strong project management skills, creative thinking, attention to detail, initiative, plus excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. You will have an understanding data analytics and insights, relational CRM databases (ideally Salesforce), and a practical knowledge of budgets, metrics and measures directly relating to digital spend, outcomes and ROI. Digital expertise across large scale marketing and fundraising programs is essential, along with relevant tertiary qualifications.
