About the role
- Canberra Location (interstate considered on a case by case basis)
- Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract
With a key focus on delivering the priorities in the three-year Strategic Plan, Community First Development is now seeking to appoint a Strategic Projects Manager for a 12 month term to fill a staff vacancy. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Impact and Strategy, this position will be instrumental in elevating the profile of the organisation through strategy, development of proposals and reports and supporting ongoing action learning for the community development team.
Primary Objectives:
- Manage strategic projects across the organisation.
- Communicate effectively about Community First Development’s impact with a variety of audiences.
- Improve outcomes and reporting by providing learning and development support to Community First Development’s regional teams.
- Engage effectively with and provide support to other business units within Community First Development.
The successful candidate will require:
- Strong administration and project management experience including the ability to prioritise conflicting needs.
- Demonstrated high level writing ability and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated research and monitoring and evaluation skills.
- Experience with preparing communications including submissions, reporting and proposals.
- Experience working within a team and ability to build strong relationships with staff, management and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, stakeholders and communities.
