About the role
Who we’re looking for:
EACH’s BounceBack Dandenong/Kingston is looking for a full-time or part-time (.8FTE) Mental Health Clinician until 30 June 2023 that can join our enthusiastic multidisciplinary team!
If you’re a Mental Health Clinician, qualified as either a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Social Worker, enjoy variety in your day and work closely with other service delivery professionals, you might be exactly the person we’re looking for!
You will be experienced in providing evidence-based psychological interventions to young people and their families experiencing complex mental health and co-occurring issues.
You will be knowledgeable of the mental health treatment sector and have a strong understanding of youth development and the context of youth work.
What you’ll be doing:
No two days will be the same! You will be required to provide care coordination and evidence-based psychological interventions for young people (aged 12 to 25) and their families.
You will complete comprehensive screening and assessment of young people and their families, and provide both short-term and longer-term (up to 12 months) interventions as part of an integrated team.
Family support is also an integral component of this role, which is complemented by Family Therapists within the team.
You will be primarily located at headspace Dandenong but you might be required to work from home at times. You will be providing a combination of center-based, telehealth and outreach appointments. Outreach appointments may include appointments at headspace Bentleigh, home visits, school appointments and other locations in the City of Greater Dandenong/City of Kingston regions.
Who you’ll be working with:
You will join a team of highly experienced and enthusiastic clinicians who are dedicated to working with young people (aged 12 to 25) and their families, who present with complex and long-standing mental health challenges, to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Reporting to the BounceBack Team Leader, you will also be supported by a broader team who provide a wrap-around service including other mental health clinicians, psychiatry, family therapy, carer peer support and peer support.
