The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. (also known as Foundation House) provides services to advance the health, wellbeing and human rights of people of refugee backgrounds in Victoria who have experienced torture or other traumatic events in their country of origin or while fleeing those countries.

The organisation was established in Melbourne in 1987 and is non-denominational, politically neutral and non-aligned. Foundation House is a state-wide agency offering services in metropolitan, regional and rural areas, with head office based in Brunswick. We have approximately 200 staff with metropolitan regional offices in Dallas, Sunshine, Dandenong and Ringwood.

About the role

The HR Business Partner is part of a team of three members responsible for the effective operation and development of the agency’s workforce, and for supporting a positive and productive workforce culture. The role reports to the HR Manager and provides operational support to managers and staff in relation to all aspects of the employment lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to separation. A key part of the role is developing collaborative partnerships with line managers to understand their operational needs and to contribute HR expertise. The position also engages in regular reviews of HR policies and procedures and works closely with the HR Manager to develop HR strategy and on the implementation of the HR operational plan to ensure strategic goals are met.

This is an ongoing part time position 0.6 to 0.8 EFT

Remuneration is based on our Enterprise Agreement 2014 of $96,804 gross salary per annum (pro rata), plus 17.5% leave loading and 10% superannuation. Additional benefits include salary packaging up to $18,550 per annum, a range of flexible working options, a highly supportive team environment, training and development opportunities, and onsite parking.
