About the role

12 Month Contract – Part-Time (3 days a week) – Parental Leave replacement – Monday to Friday Position

As the Penguin Foundation Officer, you will be responsible for marketing, communications and fundraising to drive growth in both revenue and the profile of the Penguin Foundation.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in the areas of marketing, communications and fundraising is essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and Communications and/or related field
  • Highly motivated, work autonomously, has a passion for environmental and purpose-driven work
  • This position offers the ability to work remotely/from home on a regular ongoing basis, but there will be a requirement to spend some time on Phillip Island – this can be discussed further upon application.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate how you meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in marketing, communications and public or corporate relations or sponsorship roles;
  • Experience in fundraising, specifically regular giving programs and donor management;
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Exceptional relationship/interpersonal skills including high level stakeholders, such as corporates and philanthropic institutions;
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills including preparing a diverse range of content from pitching projects to prospects, grant application and donor engagement;
  • Excellent organisational skills

Current driver’s license and employee working with children check are also required prior to commencement.

Hours of employment are in accordance with a five day roster, with availability to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and across our sites as per business requirements.
