About the role
Your role:
Direct casework with children, their families and their carers, case management responsibilities, facilitating contact between children and their families, liaising with external agencies and professionals, participating in staff meetings, participating in regular supervision with Team Leader and attending Professional Development opportunities.

About you:
- Sound skills in assessment and planning
- Experience or knowledge of Best Interest Principles as outlined within the Children, Youth and Families Act 200
- Ability to provide children and young people with supportive placements whilst maintaining safety
- A commitment to working with vulnerable children young people and families who have experienced trauma
- An ability to prepare written reports, maintain records and manage time effectively and efficiently
- An ability to provide a case management service in complex family circumstances where multiple service providers may be involved
- An ability to liaise with and coordinate the actions of clients, volunteer caregivers and a range of professionals and other services
- Effective conflict resolution skills, including the ability to appropriately balance the competing demands and interests of key stakeholders such as clients, caregivers, families and the organisation
Qualifications:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline at degree level or diploma level with experience relevant to child welfare
The important stuff:
- Salary $84,000 to $88,000 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 5 SCHCADS)
- Full time and part time 4 days per week available
- Office location: Lilydale being the primary office
