About the Role
- Work with Group Accountant to manage month-end, year-end process and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation of Board & Committee papers
- Oversee Treasury functions, Balance sheet reconciliations, and key monthly accounting activities. Hands on financial management including production of management accounts, revenue recognition, invoicing management, accounts receivable and client payment claim administration as well as payroll journals
- Assist to roll out new processes, initiatives and policies
- Work with Group Accountant to manage the interim and year end audit and prepare the year-end statutory accounts for SSI Group
- Oversee ongoing management of Fixed Asset and Lease Asset Register
- Ensuring that the cash flow process is efficiently managed, with detailed and accurate forecasting via weekly cash-flow reporting
- Ensure all key insurances are in place and up to date including works cover
- Other duties as directed from time to time within your skills range and capacity.
About the Team
This role will be a part of a strong management team and have two team members that report directly in to this leadership position. The finance department has a very friendly and supportive culture, that has a hybrid pattern of working both from home and the office.
(We are looking for someone with relevant demonstrated experience in developing strong relationships with government stakeholders with a thorough understanding of political processes and established networks. You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and will thrive in a fast – paced complex environment. Essential Criteria
- Proven track record managing day to day finance operations.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adaptive to rapidly changing business circumstances
- A solid understanding of financial statistics & accounting principles and their application
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in policy writing
- Drives high performance in the team focusing on Performance, Engagement and Development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
