Emerge Australia is a national patient organisation providing education, advocacy, research and support services to people living with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) their families and carers. Their work gives hope and help to more than 250,000 Australians living with ME/CFS and those with post viral disease such as Long COVID.

A newly created position developed to Manage Digital Communication at Emerge Australia, the successful candidate will need to be passionate about the ability of social media to generate high levels of engagement with a focus on converting followers to donors and event participants.
You will have the skills to create and manage online fundraising events and be an ‘out of the box’ thinker not afraid of being creative in your proposals. You will also manage production of their regular newsletter and Annual Report; coordinating input from all areas and pulling the report together with the help of the Operations Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing multi-channel digital media solutions across social media and digital channels
- Implementation and set up of targeted digital campaigns across said digital channels
- Providing data analysis and advice on content development across all digital channels
- Increase engagement between Emerge Australia our stakeholders and the general public through multi-channel digital social media implementation
- Implement tracking and measurement solutions for websites and campaigns
- Manage on-page optimisation fundamentals as well as offsite initiatives, ‘widgets’, content syndication and social media projects
- Have an understanding of SEO best practices and advise on optimisation and improvements
- Work with the digital team to review website traffic and user data to support improvements for workflows
- Work with content management team for enhancement of optimal behaviour change through awareness raising initiatives
- Oversee the implementation of revenue generating campaigns with a strong focus on delivering ROI
- Working closely with the Business Development & Fundraising Manager to optimise work across all areas of development and fundraising
Knowledge and skills required:
- A solid understanding of the technical components for Google analytics, SEO, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok, Programmatic ads and Instagram
- Google data studio for website analytics and digital marketing campaign reports
- Implement tracking and measurement via Google Analytics, UTM tags, marking tags installation (Facebook/LinkedIn pixels, Google Remarketing tags) and event tracking
- Google search console set up, sitemap submission, url removal, organic growth tracking
- Google Business Profile set up and optimisation
- Understanding of marketing automation and email platforms such as HubSpot, Active Campaign, MailChimp, Campaign Monitor
- Expertise in analysing website search performance
- Proactive and solutions-driven approach to problem solving
- Exceptional writing skills, strong attention to detail and diligence
- You have a good understanding of industry trends
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
