About the Team
The People & Culture Team (PaC) partner with the business through a number of functions, including Work Health & Safety, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Organisational Development, Employee Services and Business Partnering. You will be joining a diverse team of highly engaged and driven individuals who strive to make a difference and work together collaboratively to deliver outcomes for our people, clients and stakeholders.
About You
The L&D Specialist is responsible for a range of duties associated with the planning, coordination, development, design and delivery of learning and development programs within SSI, across a range of programs and divisions and in accordance with Organisational development plans and the Learning & Development Strategy.
The role contributes to the development and implementation of the 70/20/10 learning framework; SSI’s Learning Management System; and the building of a continuous learning culture at SSI through a variety of ongoing development activities, processes and projects.
- Design, deliver and deploy of Leadership Development Programs primarily focused on but not limited to Emerging Leaders and Team Leaders.
- Evaluate learning and development activities – deliver interactive and engaging F2F and/or blended learning programs, including workshops, seminars, inductions or technology-based programs as required.
- Consult with the business to develop and contribute to the increased competence and confidence of our leaders.
- Regularly evaluate training activities to ensure their validity and effectiveness. Evaluation, analysis and interpretation of learning programs (ROI).
- Participate in continuous improvement activities – including feedback and debriefing with manager; active participation in Communities of practice and working out loud with L&D team; observations by and for other trainers and other identified training needs.
- Administration of all aspects of learning programs – contribute to planning and scheduling of development sessions. Contribute to consistent and up-to-date record keeping of training activities undertaken. Contribute to Board reports, People & Culture reports and other reports as required. Contribute to the overall smooth delivery of training events, including logistics and catering.
Selection Criteria
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
- Demonstrated experience in design, delivery and evaluation of leadership development program from emerging leaders through to senior leaders
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation and training delivery;
- Demonstrated ability to relate, engage and work with diverse stakeholders;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent ICT skills including MS Office (Word, EXCEL & PowerPoint);
- Prior experience in event planning or project work;
- Experience or strong interest in working within the social justice framework;
- Demonstrated experience in conducting needs analysis;
- Demonstrated experience in design and facilitation of leadership development programs;
- Demonstrated experience in conducting analysis and interpretation of evaluation data;
- Demonstrated experience with Talent Frameworks/Talent Management.
- Experience in the community sector including but not limited to working with refugees, vulnerable children and young people, people with disabilities etc is desirable
- Experience in coaching and mentoring is desirable
