About the organisation
Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia (PANDA) is the lead national perinatal mental health organisation, supporting and representing expecting and new parents to understand and recover from perinatal emotional and mental health difficulties. PANDA operates Australia’s only National Helpline for individuals and their families, delivering phone-based assistance to parents seeking urgent support when they are at their most vulnerable. Having experienced significant recent growth and following the implementation of new digital systems, PANDA seeks to appoint a National Helpline Services Manager.

Role ideally based at PANDA Melbourne HQ, however as a National leadership role all locations will be considered. Genuine flexible work arrangements also exist.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will oversee the effective management and growth of PANDA’s Helpline services and supports. It will be responsible for building PANDA’s clinical and peer delivery and development model, ensuring the organisation remains a valued provider of care to its network and funding partners.
The National Helpline Services Manager will be a passionate clinical or peer leader, who is technologically savvy and understands the importance of embedding the right service systems so that barriers to seeking help no longer exist.
The successful applicant must have a genuine interest in service delivery. You will be a collaborative leader, have a sincere and authentic style, be outcome focussed and able to influence those around you to drive accountability and high performance. You will be evidence based in approach, able to navigate change and have foresight in the identification of new opportunities for service expansion and integrated delivery partnerships.
Tertiary qualified, (clinical and/or health related) you will have ideally worked in a telephone-based health service and have significant working knowledge of the health system and services. Mental health knowledge and clinical experience are highly desirable.
