About the organisation
ABOUT AMHF
The Australian Men’s Health Forum (AMHF) is the peak body for people working to improve the lives and health of men and boys in Australia. We trace our history back to the first National Men’s Health conference in 1995 and have evolved from a voluntary organisation to a registered charity with a growing membership, run by a team of dedicated professionals.
Having recently secured 3 years of funding under the Commonwealth Government’s Health Peak Advisory Body program, our longest-serving board member is preparing to step down from the President’s role. As part of succession planning, we are now looking to strengthen our Board by recruiting an independent President, with a strong profile among our key stakeholders, to help grow AMHF’s influence and strengthen our impact.
The focus of AMHF’s work is to connect and support the men’s health sector; champion male-friendly approaches to working with men; provide resources that raise knowledge and awareness of men’s health issues and advocate for Government policies and actions that improve men and boys’ health.
About the role

Crucially, you will have a commitment to creating a healthier future for men and be aligned to our strengths-based approach to men’s health, which focuses on the underlying causes of good health like education, relationships, social connection, financial security and access to male-friendly support services.
The role of President is voluntary and will require you to work closely with our CEO and Board, including our outgoing President who will continue to serve on the board.
