About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic self-motivated Psychologist to join the Department Student Support Services (SSS) workforce to provide comprehensive psychological service to schools and students in the Southern Mallee Area based in Swan Hill . In this role, you will provide professional advice to schools that strongly influence student learning outcomes and wellbeing policies within a school community, and the wider Area. This 1.0 EFT, AH3, Psychologist position is fixed term family leave from 24/01/2022 – 17/6/2022 with a likelihood of extension. The Department of Education and Training is looking for skilled and passionate Psychologists to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) teams in supporting schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential.

SSS comprise a broad range of Allied Health professions including psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers.

As part of an Area based multi-disciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team, you will work to help build the capability of schools to support student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing.
Required: A graduate or post-graduate degree in Psychology and Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) and possess a current Australian Drivers Licence and Working with Children Check.
This position is based in Swan Hill . There is a requirement to travel to schools as part of service delivery.
